Research and Innovation

Britannia College is a research-focused distance learning institution where faculty, students and researchers continuously challenge the boundaries of knowledge and create state of the art research and technologies. Our faculty includes world-renowned academics and lead industry experts with several decades joint experience in conducting high quality research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics and IoT Technologies.

Our team has published over 200 articles in high profile journals and conferences and produced 4 patents in challenging application areas.

R&D – individual and collaborative, funded and non-funded – is a priority for our college and aims at:

  • Contributing to the implementation of high impact research projects at the highest level in collaboration with other institutions in the UK and abroad.
  • Leading or partnering in UK, European and International collaboration research projects.
  • Supporting our students develop research skills and actively engage in real world research.
  • Increasing engagement with modern businesses and industries, identifying the needs of society and industry, developing industry-oriented research outputs, promoting exploitation of research results and dissemination of knowledge and safeguarding the generated IP through patents and the creation of dedicated spinoff companies.
